My 15 Minutes of Fame

In February 1950, while on a train trip to my Aunt's in Frankston, I fell out of the train which at the time was travelling at 50MPH (80KPH).  I believe I survived because I landed on the rails and washed off most of my momentum in the slide along them, meanwhile fracturing my skull and burning the bum out my pants from the friction.

Following are the press clippings of the time.
